HTC EVO 4G updated with Swype and other goodies
After the DROID X received an update two days ago, now it's time for another smartphone heavyweight - the HTC EVO 4G - to get a maintenance release. The new update, version 3.70.651.1, which is still Froyo, offers Swype, as well as Scan Now Widget for 4G, which provides a quick way to check whether you are in 4G range or not.

There are a few more improvements, like the latest Sprint TV app and Sprint Zone update, as well as the Visual Voicemail and Kindle eReader applications. This update also provides you with an unremovable trial version of Gameloft's NOVA, not unlike what the DROID X owners received with EA's Madden NFL demo a few days ago. For the update, check your HTC EVO 4G's settings and if it's not there, it should be soon.

A full list of all the enhancements/fixes you receive with update version 3.70.651.1:

Enhancements/Fixes:
-Blockbuster (including WM DRM 10)
-Kindle eReader
-Preloaded try/buy video game: NOVA from Gameloft
-Sprint Zone update
-Latest Telenav
-Latest Visual Voicemail Application
-Latest Sprint TV application
-SWYPE keyboard
-Scan Now Widget for 4G
