Google launches another Inbox Happy Hour; 70% of Inbox users are using Android
Earlier today, we told you that Microsoft had launched Outlook Preview for both iOS and Android. Google countered by offering another Inbox Happy Hour. That is what Google calls the time period when it sends out invitations for its Inbox app to those who request it. Google is going to allow this Happy Hour to run 24 hours, so if you've been wanting to download and install Inbox, now is your opportunity.

Inbox is an enhanced Gmail inbox that helps you organize your email. You can "snooze" certain email so that it will disappear and return to your inbox later. You can also "pin" messages and those missives containing important appointment confirmations become easier to find. In addition, the app will give you information you need to complete a task. If you have a restaurant reservation, you will see a reminder along with the directions to the eatery. Eventually, Inbox will allow users to retract a sent email before it is read.

Google also sent out a graph showing how Inbox is currently being used. 70% of the app's users are rockin' Android and 28% are using it on their Apple iPhone. 34% are using Inbox on the web.

If you don't have Inbox yet, you have until 12 noon EST Friday to request it. Simply send an email to and keep your fingers crossed.

I like the app in all but I think they could add individual notification (ring, vibrate, vibrate+ring) or other enhancements along those lines.

i ve spent with the app a nice week, only a week - didnt used another email client that time just to be sure that this is the best email client as other tech sites do report - i never learned how it works properly, i just makes tons of new subfolders that you can make on your own when you wish even in another email app. Confusing handling and sorting...deleted and never will come back to it. Happy woth stock Samsung email app. Acompli or MailWise are much better than this fancy crap, Acompli=new Outlook app, are great concept but still lack some important settings... stock Samsung email app from bloated touchwizz does it great, exchange, text formating, a lot of proper features - not just fancy animations
