Well, folks, it's time for the new Google Nexus. And this year around, there are two of them! Indeed, in an attempt to keep users that liked the compact Nexus 5 pleased, yet avoid disappointing the ones who preferred the phablet-class Nexus 6, Google had two separate handsets manufactured – the compact-ish Nexus 5X and the large-screened Nexus 6P.

The Nexus 5X got quite the facelift when compared to its spiritual predecessor – the 2013, LG-made Nexus 5. Naturally, the former's hardware is also quite ahead of the aging flagship. But will it be enough to help it carve its own place in the current smartphone landscape?

We picked out two strong representatives of the top-class Android market – the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Sony Xperia Z5. The former became quite popular thanks to its change in fashion sense, when compared to previous Samsung flagships, and its snappy new interface. The Xperia is still hot out of the oven, rocking all the latest hardware, and eagerly awaiting the public's response to its bells and whistles.
