Gingerbread update live for LG Optimus 3D

Gingerbread update live for LG Optimus 3D
We announced at the beginning of the month that LG was expected to roll out a Gingerbread update for the LG Optimus 3D. As expected, this update brings the version up to 2.3.5 and includes 21Mbps HSPA+ support, a new 2D and 3D video editor, better video quality, and faster Gallery app performance.

This update is currently live for the European version of the phone in the UK and most of mainland Europe. LG Optimus 3D owners in this region can access the update through the LG updater utility.

There is no news, as of yet, about when this update will be available for the Thrill 4G in America.

Is there anyway to install this on a LG thrill... through a custom rom perhaps? I don't want to state the obvious but ICS is around the corner :/

Im sorry but the LG optimus is not a good phone in the first place, and the fact that a carrier requested to get 3D shoved into it is horrible! The Evo 3D is the bomb. best graphics, you can turn it off when u need to and its huge, and with the huge processor in it- waaay better battery life! HTC is a way better manufacturer

i own an evo 3d and its not that great to tell you the truth. the camera lags and goes out of focus when you click the camera button. the speakers are much weaker than the evo and headphone out amp is super weak. the graphics is nice though. the build quality is superb.
