German carriers say the Nokia 800 Windows Phone is exceeding expectations, new photos leak
UPDATE: New photos of the Nokia 800 emerged, this time in different color of the housing.

Speaking for the German Businessweek, representatives of the big carriers had nice words to say about the upcoming Nokia 800, which is about to be unveiled tomorrow at Nokia World in London, and already started appearing in ad teasers on TV.

The phone is characterized by a cool design and great build quality. I’m sure that Nokia can thus build on previous successes.”, says Niek Jan van Damme from the management board of Deutsche Telekom.

For O2 Germany CEO René Schuster, the test units provided left a good impression as well: “I am particularly impressed by the design and simple interface. The device will stimulate the market. We would like to offer it in the Christmas season.

The boss of Freenet, one of the largest distributors of Nokia in Germany, commented: “Nokia starts with this device back where it left off before the crisis – at the top in quality, design and functionality."

From what we have seen so far, the Nokia 800 seems to be based on the Nokia N9, but in a Windows Phone flavor, which is a very good approach since the N9 has a distinctive design and intuitive shape.

For some reason the source comments that the Nokia 800 has unibody metal housing, whereas all clues before pointed to the deep-colored polycarbonate that the Nokia N9 uses, so that's one more mystery to solve tomorrow. Not that the Finns don't make pillow-shaped shells in different colors out of a single aluminum sheet, like on the Nokia N8, but it will still be a surprise if the Nokia 800 chassis is all-metal.
