Gameloft to launch Asphalt 9: Legends on Android and iOS this summer
The ninth installment in the Asphalt series has just been unveiled by Gameloft earlier today. "Legends" is coming to Android and iOS this summer and, according to the developer, it's supposed to “bring back the fun of arcade racing games that made it successful.”

Gameloft promises the upcoming Asphalt 9: Legends game will bring a graphic quality to mobile devices only ever seen on consoles before, which is possible thanks to the powerful new engine developed by the studio.

As far as the gameplay goes, players will be able to perform incredible stunts (huge nitro boosts, complete 360°, barrel rolls, etc.) while racing through amazing locations. On top of that, the game features a new so-called Touchdrive control system that adds a layer of strategic choices that players much make while racing. Of course, players can choose between either using Touchdrive or classic controls.

Unsurprisingly, Asphalt 9: Legends includes online multiplayer modes featuring real-time racing with up to 8 other players. Some fully integrated social features like a clan system and clubs should make cooperation much easier in the game.

Asphalt 9: Legends doesn't have a release date yet, but Gameloft said it will showcase the game at E3 on June 12-14. The publisher also stated the next Asphalt game will be launched on mobile devices this summer. Also, if you live in the Philippines, you play the beta version of Asphalt 9: Legends on Android or iOS.
