Galaxy S7 press renders and LG G5 schematics: weekly news roundup
Once again, it is time for our weekly news round-up, where we put the most interesting stories from the past seven days for anyone who needs to catch up.

As can be expected, the news feed and leaks tap were brimming with info and rumors about the biggest event for the first half of the year that is opening in a few short weeks - the MWC expo 2016. The Galaxy S7 was expected to be unveiled there, and indeed there was a teaser posted by Samsung itself telling us to expect #TheNextGalaxy on February 21st. The LG G5 will reportedly also come on February 21st, on the same day that the Galaxy S7 is unveiled, and a 3D render of the handset has emerged, based on leaked case schematics, with very interesting specs claims to accompany it.

As for iOS-related news, besides Apple's record-breaking profit announcement, the biggest leak concerned the eventual iPad 3 that is rumored to be unveiled in March. You can preview all that mattered last week in the slideshow below.

This is going to be 2014 all over again. My prediction is HTC coming back to life with a bang! M10 > G5 > S7 > i7 just like the M8 > G3 > S5 > i5s.

I agree the M8 was the number one phone that year, but the S5 was definitely on top of the G3 - there was simply nothing majorly wrong with the S5 except for the slightly ugly design. meanwhile the G3 had performance issues, short battery life and was rather bulky IMO. My rankings of each year: S6 > G4 > i6s > M9 M8 > S5 > G3 > i6 G2 > M7 > S4 > i5s OneX > i5 > G > S3

Z2 was the no 1 of 2014! I still get around 7-8 hours of SoT as of today. For a 2014 device it's still awesome with its 3200 mAh battery, IP68 which has not failed once, DNC, awesome build quality, SD801, micro SD and FM. I'm still using it.

M8 was indeed the best phone of 2014. They screwed it so bad with the M9. I would really love if HTC comes back with a bang, but i think G5 will be the one to look for!!
