Galaxy S7 caught benching the Android 7.0 Nougat update
The Android 7.0 Nougat update is expected to bless the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge with the Note 7's Grace UX, or, at least, the parts of it that don't involve a capacitive stylus with 4,096 pressure points.

Grace UX, for the uninitiated, is the new, more intuitive direction for Samsung's TouchWiz overlay. Currently available on the Galaxy Note 7 only, both of the main S7 handsets look set to benefit from its features. The Note 7's new Always-on Display features will be ported over to the S7 and S7 edge. Although both handsets already include AoD capabilities, Samsung added a bunch of new features to the Note 7's repertoire.

That's quite a promise to look forward to, but when will the Galaxy S7 land Nougat? Pretty soon, it seems, as one such handset already popped up on Geekbench, running the latest Android 7.0. Actually, there were rumors that Google has given a fast track to Samsung for the Nougat update, so hopefully we will see the S7 and S7 edge donning the chewy dessert as soon as this quarter.
