Evan Blass leaks the codenames of four upcoming Lumia smartphones

One of the more popular leaksters in the mobile industry, Evan Blass, has just spilled the beans about some reportedly-incoming Microsoft Lumia smartphones, revealing nothing else but their codenames. According to the leakster that officially retired but is still giving us snippets of info, Redmond might be prepping smartphones with the following aliases: "Guilin", "Honjo", "Saana", and "Saimaa".

These codenames give us no info about the devices in question - they are all named after geographic locations and towns in China, Japan, and Finland. Plausible specs and other pieces of information regarding the phones have not been revealed, much to thee dismay of all those expecting something new and exciting to get announced by Microsoft.

Over the past few weeks and months, we've heard rumors about a handful of upcoming Lumia devices that might reportedly arrive along with Windows 10; we also have the rumored specs of a few upcoming devices, yet conecting the dots and matching the purported codenames with the leaked specs sheets is a worthy Herculean labor.

New wave of budget Lumia must have SD410 at least! Affordable Flagship should contain SD615 at least coupled with 2 GB RAM;

Even S610 is good enough.

Yeah! But newer, the better, isn't it? (sans SD810) :)

SD 410 and 610/615 are 64 bit socs so they should be included in WP 10 devices as the WP 8.1 can't support 64 bit.

And yet, there are 64bits phones running WP8.1...

Yeah but its useless anyway and after that updating will be hard like the note 4 exsynos versions.

not really, different os and everything. Considering the windows core is 64bit, you can put a 64bit soc and walla, any update to windows updates along with it.

Considering that Cityman/Talkman are well known to be the 940XL and the 940, then it seems that there's a very good chance that these four codenames could be: 740 740XL 840 840XL That would be great for anyone wanting a midrange phablet. The 640XL is nice and all, but the SD400 SoC is underpowered in 2015

I had a colleague long time ago with the name Saima. She was little fat, I hope Microsoft will not follow her in the design :)

Saana is a popular hiker spot, so perhaps a midrange long battery life phone Guilin is known for Scenery - so perhaps the 1020 successor Honjo - china, so a budget device (simply by saying there is going to be a lot of em like the 5xx series) Saimaa - known for shore line, no clue, just throwing it out there as a midrange phablet
