Earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy S7 went through Geekbench with the Exynos 8890 SoC inside. This model (SM-G930W8), which is headed to North America, attained single-core and multi-core scores of 1873 and 5946, respectively. Just a couple of days ago, another version of the Galaxy S7 also was benchmarked by Geekbench. But this unit carries a different model number (SM-G930F), which indicates it is heading to Europe. It also will be powered by the Exynos 8890 SoC.
For some reason, the European model scored much lower on the benchmark test, with a single-core score of 1358 and a multi-core score of 4911. Those scores might be lower than the ones tallied by the North American variant, but they are pretty much in line with the European version of the Samsung Galaxy 7 edge (SM-G935F). The latter also was put through Geekbench with the Exynos 8890 chipset inside, and tallied 1363 and 4951 for the single-core and multi-core scores, respectively. Of course, we don't know whether we are looking at scores produced by prototypes, and whether the clock speed of the CPU on each model was reduced for the testing.
