If any of you were hoping to saunter over to Verizon’s website and pick up a cheap Droid Incredible 2, we have bad news for you: It’s out of stock. Technically the website says “Temporarily out of stock”, but given the timing we suspect it may not return. After all, we’ve been seeing its successor getting leaked for months, and the HTC One S – the phone the Incredible 4G will be based on – has already been reviewed and will launch on T-Mobile in another week.
Obviously we won’t know for sure until there’s an official announcement, but the stars seem to be aligning for a near-term launch of Verizon’s LTE version of the One S. Of course before that Verizon needs to clean house and get rid of the old model. So if you really, really wanted an Droid Incredible 2 this is bad news, but for everyone wanting an updated HTC LTE phone on Verizon, it’s probably really good news.
