Was Santa good to you this year? Did you unwrap a present and find a tidy little white Apple box? If you are new to the world of smartphones, it will be a blessing and curse that the iPhone has about a bazillion apps available for it. We should not need to tell you to download the essentials, like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Google Maps, YouTube and Find My iPhone. If by chance you were thinking of Instagram but heard about all the news they have made lately, we provided some alternatives to Instagram just last week.

Outside of that, we thought we would pass along a few other apps worth checking out in case you were wondering where to start. Obviously, this is not anywhere near a complete list, and arguably obvious, but it is not a bad starting point for people enjoying their new phone.
