Did an electronics retailer just leak the price and launch date of the HTC One M9?

Big Apple electronics retailer B&H might have just given away the launch date and pricing for the HTC One M9. The price, listed as $649 sans contract, compares to the $649.99 price that appeared earlier this month on Best Buy's online site. The version of the handset being sold at B&H is the unlocked, 32GB model in silver/gold.

Now for the date that you are all wondering about, the HTC One M9 will apparently launch on March 25th. Not only is that the date when the phone will first be available according to B&H, it is also the one-year anniversary of the HTC One (M8)'s launch.

The HTC One M9 is equipped with a 5-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The 64-bit octa-core 2GHz Snapdragon 810 CPU is under the hood along with 3GB of DDR4 RAM and 32GB of native storage. Those requiring additional memory can employ the 128GB capacity microSD slot. A 20MP camera is on back. The front-facing camera is the 4MP Ultrapixel snapper that was found on the back of the HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7). A 2840mAh battery powers the phone, and Android 5.0 is pre-installed with Sense 7 running on top.

If this launch date is correct, it looks the HTC One M9 will beat the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge to consumers' pockets. The Samsung models, which reportedly collected a whopping 20 million orders so far, are both expected to be released next month.

Thanks for the tip!

Well, in the UK it usually works like this.

$649 means the device will cost £649

Greedy sellers :( It should cost £429

In here it's worse. Hear the prices:

Xperia Z3(16 GB): 800$
Note 4(32 GB): 900$
iPhone 6+(16 GB): 1050$
iPhone6+(128 GB): 1400$.

It's freaking insane.

Tyrion, are you still exiled to the Great Wall? It's hard shipping new electronics North of Winterfell.

Coming from M8, I dont think its a worthy upgrade. I will pass on this. Maybe the M10.

I'll keep my 2014 One Plus One which is better than this M9! The $649 price tag is laughable and HTC can't survive or compete in that price range! This isn't 2012. Competition is offering better phones for cheaper prices!

While I think the 2014 OnePlus One is a competent phone, it's not made of metal, doesn't have the latest/greatest CPU/GPU, only has DDR3 RAM (the M9 has DDR4), doesn't have a 20MP camera, doesn't have a front facing stereo speakers with Dolby technology, doesn't have an IR blaster to control your stereo/TV..Further, it's running Cyanogen 11S based on Android 4.4... Yeah, no it's not in the same league as the M9.

Is like anything else, if you keep supporting them, they will keep increasing the price.
