Deal: snag a brand new LG V10 for just $299.99 at Best Buy

The LG V20 may have been showcased earlier this month, but there's still quite a bit of uncertainty as to when and where it will actually release. Apparently, most regions won't see the device until next month at the earliest, while the South Korean firm is said to be unsure of whether to skip the European market altogether. Still, the silver lining with new announcements is that older models tend to shed considerable chunks off their price tags, and last year's V10 can now be snapped up for a fraction of its original $730 retail price.

Right now at Best Buy, you can grab the LG V10 for the sum total of $299.99. Though it is an ageing handset, you get quite a bit of bang for your 300 bucks, including a Snapdragon 808 processor, 3 GB of RAM, a large 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, 3000 mAh battery and 64 GB of expandable storage.

The incessant chase for top-end specs means that it's slightly adrift of most flagships of 2016, which generally include 4 GB RAM and the Snapdragon 820 or equivalent. But as we noted in our LG V10 Review, despite its fair share of faults including the rather modest battery life, the phablet is a pretty good all-round performer.

If you don't want to wait for the LG V20 or its rumored ~$800 asking price, its predecessor looks a steal. The device is listed as the Verizon model and that it requires a contract, but no such information is required when you check out so presumably, it's both carrier and subscription-free.
