The lazy days of summer are finally here and whether you are sipping cocktails on the beach or chilling near a swimming pool, you always have your phone with you and that might be the perfect time to play a game. With millions of titles on the Apple App Store and Android's Google Play, though, how do you find the best new games out there?

Luckily, there was no shortage: starting with the high-profile launch of Fallout Shelter to the awesome top-down shooter Xenowerk, and a few other releases of various genres - from adventure to sports games.
This time around, there is really something to please lovers of diverse genres: Dragon Quest VI is out for lovers of Japanese RPGs, and the awesome Bit Bit Love is a nice puzzler with a charming story. Genre: Top-down shooter
Xenowerk is a top-down action shooter challenging your combat skills in an underground science lab. Descend deeper into the abyss and explore the tarnished levels. Armed with a flashlight as your main guidance, you'll never know what's lurking in the dark. Your objective is to destroy all the nests and eliminate all mutants to prevent them from spreading.

Genre: Platformer adventure
Nubs' Adventure is a platforming action and exploration game with a charming retro style and an intriguing story to follow. Nubs' Adventure is an exploratory platformer meaning that you get to explore the world more than fight against enemies. The whole exploration starts from the moment that your main hero - Nubs - is kicked out of his house by the evil Reds and hes to rebuild his dwelling. With Nubs on his journey are his friends: the tiny wisp Ally and a huge worm named Brute. In this game, you get to explore four different world, each with their own secrets, enemies and traps. Control Nubs, as well as the wisp Ally and the worm Brute. Fight the evil Reds in epic boss fights. Solve puzzles and collect diamonds to rebuild your house.
The science fiction RPG Transistor that will be familiar to lovers of the genre who own consoles has arrived on mobile, retaining a lot of its visual excellence and intricate combat and gameplay options. The game has been redone with new touch controls, but - luckily - you also have the option to hook up a gamepad and use it to play on your phone/tablet. A fast-paced action RPG, Transistor walks you through mysteries as you pursue its former owners through a rich and atmospheric story.
Genre: Town builder
Called Fallout Shelter, the game basically puts you in control of your own vault, with all the cool things that might be happening in there, much like a life simulator, Sims-style. Optimized for a touch screen, Fallout Shelter allows you to build new quarters and level the residents up, plus you can really reproduce them the old-fashioned way, but we will save the details on that bit for when you install the game and play around with it a while.
Dragon Quest VI
Genre: Japanese RPG
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation is the final instalment in the Zenithian trilogy, where your task is to recover the heroes’ long-lost memories, and bring the two worlds together. As you progress in the game, the hero and his party will gain access to Alltrades Abbey, where they can specialise in any of over sixteen vocations. Train your skills in your chosen vocation, and learn a multitude of spells and special abilities.
Genre: Cinematic adventure
Her Story is a game about a murder case and a witness. With a real-life cinematic element, it plays as a CSI episode where you get to solve the case with the help of a police database, access to camera recordings. Your task is to listen and make sense of seven interviews of a British woman telling the story of her missing husband.
Tales From Deep Space
Genre: Puzzle adventure
Tales From Deep Space is a comedic mis-adventure set on Big Moon, the most eccentric space station in the galaxy. Players help E, a traveling salesman, and his loyal luggage drone CASI escape when Big Moon is thrown into lockdown. E and CASI must work together to fight dangerous battles, solve fiendish puzzles and unravel the nefarious plot behind the mysterious "Meek" uprising.
Bit Bit Love
Where would a game about two bits of data who have fallen in love and are looking for each other while avoiding deletion come if not from France? Bit Bit Love is a charming puzzle game with a story of a digital world where love is not allowed and that's why when R0D and A5CA enter the system, security agents try to delete them.

Furdemption invites you to embark on a perilous journey with a royal rabbit trying to escape hell with hot lava, deadly traps, and terrifying slug reapers in the way. The game features 100 hand-made levels that require both wits and skill to overcome.
PES Club Manager
You get to create your dream soccer team in PES Club Manager, a new game from the popular Pro Evolution Soccer franchise featuring over 5,000 licensed players. You get to select and train your players, build your own clubhouse and give tactical instructions to your team to become the best club manager in this virtual world. The world of motorcycle racing is one of challenge and adrenaline. Anyone who's ridden a motorcycles knows that it's a challenge handling the machine, let alone carving out turns at high speeds, and while SBK15 conveys little of that adrenaline, it is a decent game for those who enjoy the rhythm of a virtual motorcycle race as you lean into those turns.
har•mo•ny 3 is a challenging puzzle game of beautiful colors and captivating music. New chapters feature 90 handcrafted levels. Your objective is to strategically rearrange blocks to reassemble each palette to its correct order.
Terminator Genisys: Revolution

Genre: 3rd person shooter
A 3rd person gallery shooter-type game that has you blasting tinheads from level 1. The game is set in the post-apocalypse future of Terminator and doesn't really seem to tie in with the Genisys film's storyline. But then again, you've got a gun and a legion of T-800 units to blow up, so who cares? Unfortunately, the game follows the well-known freemium model, which will inevitably slow down your progress at some point. Still, even if you don't intend to cough up some cash, it's worth a spin for its nice graphics, scarily animated robots, and nice gunplay.

Genre: Shooting gallery
If you've played the “Hitman: Sniper Challenge” teaser game that was released before the actual Hitman: Absolution's launch, you will know what this mobile game is all about. It's a shooting gallery title that rewards you for taking out your victims quietly and in a way that leaves the least evidence. Each level has a main target and a set of sub-tasks, which, if accomplished, maximize your score. The graphics are great, gun play is on-par, and we really enjoy the “active reload”, which has you actually swiping across the screen, making you feel involved even while reloading your gun.
You Must Build a Boat
Genre: Match-3 with RPG elements
An unlikely mix between match-three puzzle gameplay, pixelated graphics, retro soundtrack, endless runner rules, and RPG elements. The protagonist of this game really likes diving into dungeons full of creatures that want to kill him. The main game mechaic is connecting boxes of the same type, much like Bejeweled or Candy Crush. In this game, connecting boxes of a certain type leads to a certain action performed by your character – attack, defense, etc. Once a mission is over, you can upgrade your hub (which is a ship – thus, the name) and buy better attack and defence stats. A pretty interesting and solidly made take on the connect 4 - RPG mashup.

DDay is a war strategy game, where you can choose your formations and continuously upgrade to build your own combat system, in order to occupy the evil legion of the island and to rescue the enslavement of the islanders, then finally to create your own island empire.
Genre: Action adventure
Beast Quest is an action-adventure in a huge open world, where you get to battle hordes of dangerous enemies and take on giant Beasts in huge boss battles. Explore snowy peaks and sandy beaches, seeking out ancient artifacts and lost treasures.
Genre: Town builder

Lines is an abstract ‘zen’ game experience where form is just as important as function. Place or remove dots to initiate a colourful race that fills a drawing. The colour that dominates the race wins. Lines is the perfect game to play while commuting or in other short moments of downtime.
