Best Buy's web site reveals $299 price for the Motorola TRIUMPH

Well, Best Buy is currently accepting pre-orders for the Froyo filled Android smartphone, but more importantly, they reveal its $299.99 no-contract pricing. Depending on how you look at it, the pricing is indeed fitting for a handset packing along some better than average hardware seen with most prepaid smartphones. In terms of delivery, the previously mentioned release date of July 19th seems likely since Best Buy has it down with an estimated arrival date of July 19th as well with expedited shipping.
With less than a month away, you better be saving up some serious cash if you truly want to be one of the first to experience this larger than life no-contract Android smartphone.

299 for a no contract phone and only 40 dollars a month for service? That is an awesome deal. Mind you, the Indulge was what? 399 when it first came out? This is a great phone for anybody.

This isn't the indulge, it is a repackaged Huawei Ascend X.

This is a mid-level smartphone w/ a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512MB internal storage, 5 MP camera/video recorder w/ a flash, 720p HD capabilities, HDMI output & a front-facing VGA camera for video conferencing. It supports live wallpapers & Adobe Flash (i.e. from the Android Market) for more capable web browsing. You can use VOIP & Skype to avoid using your minutes. And, the possibility of tethering your laptop to the phone or turning your 3G connection into a mobile hotspot w/o rooting remains to be seen. THE MOTOROLA TRIUMPH IS NOTHING LIKE THE CRAPPY, LOW-END HUAWEI BRAND!!!

Just got mine today 7/17/11 at Best Buy! Called customer service asked if they had SKU # 2549953 in stock, then I asked if they could bring it up to customer service so i could bypass there mobile phone department which will not sell the phone untill the 19th or 20th. Paid $299+ tax. MOST stores are limited to 5 to 8 phones right now, I hope this helps!

You are hella lucky! I just tried that maneuver w/ my local Best Buy & she would not hold the item w/o getting confirmation from the mobile department which of course said no. I have two pre-ordered for my household (i.e. finally, videoconferencing that will not be monopolized by AT&T, T-Mobile, etc) I was hoping they would ship out ahead of time so as to arrive at my house on or before the release date. I didn't get a clear answer from her on that, but I read somewhere that is the case w/ Best Buy pre-orders. Btw, the store only has 10 in stock set to be released on the 20th.

I take that back, man. I wanted to say thanks for the idea. I wrote the sku number on a piece of paper & took it to the customer service area of the Sunnyvale, CA store. She went to the mobile department and they unlocked the cabinet for her. We got two. She said the mobile department was busy tonight. So, we checked out back at customer service. The boxes wouldn't scan & the register froze up. So, she moved to another register entering it manually. We are both up and running. Full internet & everything! You rock!!!

Yes, but you must ACT QUICKLY! Virgin Mobile is changing their Beyond Talk plans w/ the release of the Motorola Triumph to, as follows: $35 - 300 min & unlimited web/text $45 - 1200 min & unlimited web/text $55 - unlimited min & unlimited web/text But. these changes take place on the 20th! So, if you activate any Beyond Talk phone on the18th (today) or the 19th, you will lock in the current rates when the rate change takes effect! My roommate bought another Beyond Talk phone to activate his $25 plan while we wait for our Motorola Triumph phones in the mail. Then after he swaps phones, he will return to a seller that has a 1 month open box & no restocking fee return policy. I've already been on Virgin Mobile for 4 months & called customer service to verify the info I was getting online.

I preordered my Motorola Triumph on 7/17, then today 7/19 it says its backordered. WTF, what was the point of preordering and expediting the shipping. So I cancelled the order, becuase chances are it won't get to my place by Saturday, and i need it by Saturday, so I checked at a local bestbuy store, I called and they have it, but not many. I just hope i get there in time to buy it, All I'm waiting for is to have it returned to my account, withdrawl and laugh all the way to bestbuy..Hahaha -Soon to be living it up, Android Froyo style. ;)
