Asphalt 8: Airborne update adds incredible new cars, multiplayer seasons and leagues
One of the most popular racing cars game for mobile devices, Asphalt 8: Airborne has just received a handful of important improvements. Veteran drivers are probably familiar with Gameloft updates, which usually add new cars and a few new improvements.

However, this time the developers announced new multiplayer seasons and leagues. Basically, you will now be able to race your best against other players to score points and unlock prizes in limited-time Racing Seasons.

Moreover, if you're skilled enough, you could be fully recognized as you score high ratings and make your way into higher leagues. Keep in mind that the better your league, the bigger your reqrds at the end of the Season.

As expected, Gameloft also added some new cars like the Falcon F7, Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG Racing Series, GT by CITROEN, Icona Vulcano V12 Hybrid. In addition, the developers confirmed that more cars will be added regularly, so make sure you check back often.

All three versions of the game got some new events, which players can access if they think they are skilled enough. A new R&D event and 2 new Enduro Challenges are now waiting for Asphalt 8: Airborne players. Last but not least, Gameloft announced the update brings some improvements (greater visibility, better lighting, tweaks) to the newest tracks like Rio and Area 51.

Goodbye multiplayer spamming. No more free nitros and upgrades after 9 winning streaks.

I don't know if I'm a driver or a pilot when I play this game. One word...unrealistic.

Asphalt 8 isn't meant to be realiatic. Asphalt 8 is an arcade game, so how do you expect an arcade to be realistic? If you want a realistic racing game, then there are simulators like Real Racing 3, and other simulators.

Use max upgraded mercedez biome to feel like driving a UFO.

That is kind of an odd way to look at it. In no way shape or form is it promoted as a racing sim. It is an arcade style racing game, always has been. I'm unsure why you would expect something different.

I dislike the freemium nature of this game....makes life like a camel!

At least you can ignore its freemium and still get the best cars if you just grind it and be a skillful driver. Playing it for a year, never paid for anything, every car I own were gained from farming.

We can ignore its freemium with every game that is it. But ignorance shouldn't be the only option. In my latest profile I have also played for just about a month and reached stage 7, with several cars, including the 125000$ Ferrari f12 Berlinetta, and the 85000$ ford mustang gt. Both of these and much more in just a month without paying anything.......but the frustration is still there.

I typically hate freemium but Gameloft does it ok in some cases. I have only ever paid for dragon mania legends for gems. It's an addictive game almost like collecting pokemon but dragons haha. RPG style and fun. And I do love asphalt 8 but it's more like once in a while play as i'm not big into racers. Xtreme sounds like it may be more fun.
