Apple just revealed its top picks for the exemplar apps and games that "shaped entertainment and culture around the world this year". Cupertino's awards further solidify the notion that 2018 will go down in history as the year we couldn't help taking care of our digital well-being and simultaneously... kill our digital avatars in  battle royale-esque phenomenons like PUBG and Fortnite over and over again!

Indeed, self-care and battle royale are the two most notable trends that helped shape the app industry, and we have a notion that a large chunk of 2019 will also be dominated by those trends.
