Apple starts selling the 8GB iPhone 5c across 11 European countries

While the colorful iPhone 5c is hardlyApple's hottest-selling smartphone ever, it has its niche of fansacross the globe. And now, said niche will be expanding within anumber of European countries. Residents of the Netherlands, Italy,Belgium, Sweden, Poland, Czech Republic, Ireland, Portugal, Austria,Spain, Norway can get the 8GB variant from Apple's local online andphysical stores.

The 8GB version is the iPhone 8c'scheapest variant, although it still takes a considerable weight offyour wallet. When Apple launched it in the UK last month, it put aprice of $717 (£429) on its tag. Not especially compelling, considering the 16GB version costs just $67 (£40) more. But that'sonly our objective opinion. Apple fans have their own, and we'reperfectly fine with it.

Also, if you are hoping for the 8GBiPhone 5c to reach the US, you might be down on your luck, as Applethinks the popularity of subsidized smartphone doesn't warrantputting this model on the market. You can still gaze at its unmistakably plastic vista, though.

A terrible price for an 'OK' phone...700+ dollars? Are people and Apple out of their minds? Nexus 5...the new One+One are a better....heck, my new Coolpad 9976A is a far better deal at 400.00....Shame on Apple!!

Do people really buy this phone? It is better to buy a fairly used 5s at the same price than to buy this outdated toy.

5s is already considered outdated, so is the iPhone 6

What? You can get TWO 16GB Nexus 5's in that money. And still there would be some cash left.

Waiting for someone to come along and say it's their money, they can spend it however they want. It's like saying it's okay to getting mugged as long as you don't mind handing over your money.

well this is not apple being nice here if that was what you're looking for. This is their attempt of clearing out what's left over from the failure they call the 5c
