Apple iPhone 4 gets whipped twice by LG Optimus 2X in browser war

We previously showed you how fast the dual-core processor helped the LG Star-now the LG Optimus 2X-crush the Apple iPhone 4 and the Samsung Galaxy S in a browser war. Now we find LG's upcoming Android superstar going up one on one vs. Apple's touchscreen phone.

How many times have you witnessed the iPhone destroy a highly regarded new challenger with the speed of mobile Safari? Not this time, folks. And while the first contest was close, the second one was pretty conclusive. And we also have to take into consideration that the LG Optimus 2X was weighed down by Adobe Flash Player 10.1.

Hopefully, we will find out a lot more about LG's device at the CES. And yes, we will be there, providing you with hands-on reports about all the handsets and tablets that are making you drool!

The iphone4 is already over 6 months old, while this LG device is not even officially released yet. The LG phone is of course expected to be faster than the iphone since it utilizes a dual core processor. But it's not like the iphone4 is a painfully slow device anyway. Congrats to LG, but I don't think it's worth it for me to give up my numerous iphone apps just for a couple more seconds faster phone.

Totally agree Jony162, I myself got the iPhone for the last 4 months and I couldn't be happier. If it wasn't for Apple we wouldn't know the term "Apps" that has created millions of jobs for every cell manufacturer out there, they have simply set the standards as they always do. Now wait for the tablet war but then again Apple is ahead. I am sure the next version of the iPhone will be a solid product with a flawless OS. Just my opinion of course.

Oh, and a V12 has more power than a v6. I'm not inderstanding the point of comparing two phones, with one almost 6 months old and the other not even realesed yet. Wouldn't the iPhone 5 versus the LG Optimus 2X be a more realistic comparison?

Zeus, really, Apple created 1,000,000 jobs because of apps, you fucking retard there is only 200,000 apps for ios devices. What a fucking stupid Fuck, and where the Fuck is the money coming from when most of the apps are FREE, how are those 1,000,000 people making money. Every time a phone comes out they put it up against the iPhone4, hell the ONLY THING IPHONE4 has is the screen. My HTC Evo shits all over the iPhone4 besides the screen and how long is everybody going to ride that train for!

Hate to tell you buddy, but the evo sucks. The processor is horrible and it is on sprint. And it is fat. The point of a phone is to be MOBILE-can you even fit an evo in your pocket? And yes, apple needs to make an iphone every half year-one on verizon one on att so people like you guys wont complain when the phone is six moths old! And yes, android wudnt even be around if it were not for the iphone, so and fandroid person should at least give it that. And seriously, I would rather my phone look good and have great apps then having it be a few seconds faster. There are computers and laptops for that. I dont want to be a nerd with my android which has nothing besides for being open source. An jailbreak anyone?

How can the Evo suck when its still one of the best Android devices out? Many people have stated including phonearena that the Evo is better then the iPhone, it might not have the best gpu for games but still plays games great. And please don't talk Shit like you really know what your talking about, Sprint has been one of the best carriers for the past 2 years. It's got a lot better then 5 years ago and there prices are better then ether Verizon and at&t. And coverage is fantastic where I live and always got 3g and 4g. The Evo can fit in my pocket with no problems and only you are a dumb Ass to think phones that size can't fit into a pocket. Oh yea let's not forget how many iPhone users switched to the Evo and Sprint. Sorry but your facts are completely INCORRECT and you Really need to do some research before talking Shit out your Ass. And speed only matters for the iPhone when the iPhone is faster but once a phone comes out that beats it in every aspect then people like you act like speed don't matter.

Oh and if you need to jailbreak your iPhone to get even a taste of what it feels like to have true customization and control over your phone like Android has then you really have the wrong phone. FYI, palm, blackberry, and LG all had touch screen outs years before Apple and yet everybody acts like it was Apple who started the whole smart phone deal but sorry to piss in your coffee but it didn't, it only gave us a phone with a larger amount of memory to help get phones in motion for speed, but my treo 650 was out in 04 and had everything the iPhone had in 07 when launched.
