An iPhone 6 running Android? This is as close as it gets

The Apple iPhone 6 is enjoying tremendous sales success as all reports point out to record-breaking demand for the 4.7-inch gadget, but what is it that makes the iPhone 6 special? Sure, iOS 8 with its sleek looks and fast operation is a big part of it, but the outstanding, premium sleek design of the iPhone 6 is also a decisive factor for many.

But what if you want that same iPhone 6 style, only running on Android? It's all possible in one country, and if you guessed China, you guessed correctly.

A shameless iPhone 6 clone named Dakele 3 has appeared in the People's Republic, and it boasts a very similar, metal body, equally positioned buttons, the round home key from the iPhone, even the plastic strips for the antenna that many have criticized. Heck, even the camera is protruding slightly.

It's a shameless, but masterful clone. The Dakele 3 is expected to to on sale in December, and it ships with an unknown version of Android (likely, 4.4 KitKat, skinned with Dakele's own custom UI), and a 64-bit, octa-core MediaTek MT6572 chip (some rumors even speculate that it might have a Snapdragon 8xx version) with 3 gigs of RAM. It's also got a 13-megapixel main camera using the popular Sony IMX214 sensor with an f/2.0 lens.

We don't know if it's as thin as the iPhone, neither do we know if it will spur the same 'bend-gate' scandals, but all in all, it looks like a very high-end affair. Would you get it?

Ignorance of iPhone fans is just bubbling off the side...AYE Mate?! Not everyone on this planet wants an iPhone. Why must everyone have an iPhone. If people can afford all the devices they buy, surely they can afford an iPhone. How about maybe they don't want one you egotistical self-righteous bastard? Samsung sold 350M smartphone last year with over 150M being the Note and S models. You think those people can't afford iPhones? Apple with 4 selling models sold a total of 150M. Not everyone wants an iPhone, just like not everyone eats at McDonald's. For the love of God dude, you guys need o frikkin grow up.

Then every single mobile and tech site on this planet must be an iSite! Now I know why Apple needs hundreds of billions, to pay thousands of sites each year to lie about their reviews. Those clueless liers! They have no idea what premium and sleek is until they hold the new note 4 with its amazing plastic cover that resembles a back cover of a phone that costs 100$. Now thats sleeeeeek!

wow you proved a $4 worth Aluminium is a more expensive material than a diaomond. Hats off to your common sense dude. Also one would prefer light weight and removable battery over aluminium unibody design. care to remember that?

dont over price it. Its about as much aluminum as maybe 3 sheets of aluminum foil. You can get the whole roll for like a buck. lol. Aluminum is "premium" because people fall for marketing and nothing more.

@laughmi I agree with your thoughts. For social climbers, take note: the market value of an Apple smartphone is inversely proportional to the production cost. Thus, iPhone is cheap. :3

There's a little mistake here. Mediatek MT6572 is a dual-core SoC for entry-level smartphones, while the octa-core chip you referring to is Mediatek MT6592.

Hey it's the Nokia N1 phone! Slap a Nokia logo on this and those suckers will fall for it, just how Foxconn planned it.

All the execs must at M$ must get the day off for Thanksgiving while you poor, petty bastards in the Blow Job Department have to work. Well, at least they left the one Win98 computer hooked up so you guys can come on here with your hearsay and whatnot since there's nothing to do in the office at the moment. At least your mouths will get a rest for a day...

What is the reason for iPhone 6 Success? It simply isn't sleek design, iOS 8 and it's fast operation. It's more like unknowledged buyers.

Why they copy iPhone's design? Because the iPhone is so cheap as them. They can't copy Nexus, Samsung and Sony because it packs both aesthetics and function. A more premium build in my opinion. HAHAHA. My apologies for being so rude. :3

I sold 4 iPhone 6(first copy/clone) already. However they were powered by lower mediatek chipset clocked at 1.7ghz and has 512 mb ram running on jelly bean 4.2 To be honest you can't differentiate the clone and the original. The finishing is so superb,I loved it. These Chinese hacked everything right from their notification to their action center and toggles and setting menu. Major drawback was the Camera and battery. I got them for $178. Niche products to make money. XD

I don 't understand why some Chinese keep imitating Apple when there are increasingly more Chinese manufacturers that have clearly suprassed Apple in terms of smartphone design. Why be crippled on purpose?

i'd rather get this than the actual iPhone 6 tbh. just get some bloatware off that using NoBloat and install Holo launcher & locker. it'd run smooth.
