Deal: Amazon sells the Essential Phone with free USB Type-C earphones ($99 value)

Are you tempted to purchase the Essential Phone now that it costs just $449 at Best Buy and comes with a $25 gift card? Don’t do it. Or at least not until you find out about Amazon’s brand new offer.

From today and 'til March 24, Amazon is selling the Essential Phone for $449, too, while also giving away a pair of free Essential Earphones HD with each purchase. These are high-quality USB Type-C earphones that Essential launched just a couple of months ago, and normally cost $99. What’s more, while Best Buy only sells the black and white versions of the Essential Phone, Amazon also has a Halo Gray edition

Since its initial launch back in August 2017 (when it was priced at $699), the Essential Phone has certainly become a better device - thanks to multiple software updates, culminating with Android 8.1 Oreo (released last week). If you think the smartphone and the accompanying Essential Earphones HD are worth $450, go ahead and visit Amazon via the first source link below.

I didn't know they actually have headphones, I'm not convinced that they are worth 100$

How is the phone after stable Oreo update? Didn't find any proper after update review yet on YouTube. Does it still freeze? Scrolling lag? Camera quality? Random reboots?

Camera has nothing to do with the Oreo update, as Essential have been updating the camera through the Play Store. No lag, no stuttering, and the phone feels a lot snappier than on Nougat, and it was fast enough imo. Touch sensitivity issues have been fixed, and scrolling lag is now none existent.

It's probably more expensive to produce than that. I think of buying one, just don't want any unpleasant surprises mentioned in older reviews.
