AT&T selling the HTC Pure for 1 cent

AT&T selling the HTC Pure for 1 cent
Sells of the HTC Pure haven't been going well for AT&T, and last month stores recieved a memo asking them to return most of their stock by March 5th, as the Device Management Group wanted to get 7,000 units back. So what are they going to do with this many of a Windows Mobile 6.5 device that isn't selling well? How about practically giving them away for only 1 cent. The AT&T web site now lists the HTC Pure with a 2-year pricing of $199.99 and a discount of $199.98, making it cost just a penny to buy, though the non-contract price is still $349.99. Is this enough of a discount to make you bite, or are you waiting for Windows Mobile 7 or an Android device?

I like mine, but I got it as an interim to the Desire, the phone I truly... uh... desire. (Austin Powers?: Allow myself to introduce... myself) I just wish I didn't pay $350 for it, but you can't squeeze toothpaste back into the tube. So...
