The Android 7.0 Nougat update started rolling out to the international Galaxy S7 and S7 edge the other day, announced Samsung, and US carriers won't be far behind, it seems, pegging the AT&T versions for "early spring" Nougat tasting, for instance. Besides improved visuals and the under-the-hood Android 7.0 goods, Samsung is throwing in some brand new features, and even completely redesigned apps like the one used to command the phones' cameras.

The new camera application is greatly simplified now, no more visual clutter, and is gesture-based, as is the modern trend with stock Nougat and the latest Android overlay versions from various manufacturers. It might be confusing at first what to do when you update your Galaxy S7 and S7 edge from Marshmallow to Nougat, that is why we have compiled for you some of the key changes in the camera app interface that arrive with Nougat, and how to use them.
