Schematics for the monstrous 6.5-inch Apple iPhone leak
If you ask consumers which of the expected three new Apple iPhone models they are looking forward to seeing in September, most will say that the new "Plus" handset is the one that piques their interest. This is the model that will carry a 6.5-inch edge-to-edge OLED display, powered by a 7nm A12 SoC.

The schematics show that the 6.5-inch iPhone will fit in a body measuring 6.18 x 3.03-inches. That is smaller than the 6.24 x 3.07-inch footprint belonging to the 5.5-inch iPhone 8 Plus. This dovetails perfectly with recently leaked renders of the 6.5-inch model, revealing its compact body.

Schematics have also leaked for the 6.1-inch "budget" iPhone model that has been dubbed the iPhone 9. This model will reportedly have an LCD display with no 3D Touch. And as seen on the schematics, the low-end iPhone will be equipped with a single camera on back. The device is said to measure 5.79 x 2.81 inches.

The one 2018 iPhone that we do not have schematics to show you is the iPhone X sequel, which will feature a 5.8-inch OLED display. All three of this year's new iOS powered handsets should feature the TrueDepth front camera, Face ID and a notch.

Check out the leaked schematics for the 6.5-inch and 6.1-inch 2018 iPhone models by clicking on the slideshow below.

UPDATE: An earlier version of this post incorrectly stated that the 2018 6.5" iPhone is expected to come with a triple camera. Upon further inspection, we believe this iPhone will have a dual camera as the one on the iPhone X.
