Time, Sports Illustrated, Fortune and Entertainment Weekly - good luck getting those magazines on Apple’s unified Newsstand application. The publications all have one thing in common in that they are all Tim Inc. magazines, and also that they were only available as stand alone apps on iTunes. No subscriptions, no option to have them all neatly arranged in Newsstand.

Now, though, finally there are good news for the avid readers of Time Inc magazines. The company’s publications have hit Apple’s Newsstand with all the aforementioned options to easily keep track of your favorite content.

What took Time Inc so long? Simple, money. Apple is taking its 30% cut from Newsstand publications, and we imagine that’s not something that publishers would want to easily give away. It seems though that fully accepting Apple’s terms now means that even with that model, the pros outweighs the cons.
