The folks over at Aspyr Media have already released Jade Empire: Special Edition on the iOS platform, as they promised, earlier this month. But that leaves a large pool of mobile gamers completely unable to play the RPG title since an Android version wasn't announced.

That's not the case anymore since Aspyr Media announced they have been able to port the game on Android devices as well. Just like the iOS version, it doesn't come for free, so if you want to play it on Android it's going to cost you $9.99.

The developers say the game should be fully compatible with most devices powered by Android 4.4 and newer, which includes the vast majority of phones and tablets available on the market.

Game-wise, if you haven't heard about Bioware's Jade Empire, you should know that this is one of the best RPGs launched about 10 years ago. Even though it's old, it remains relevant for gamers who like old-school RPGs.

As the name suggests, Jade Empire follows the story of an orphan who grew up under strict care of a master who runs a school for martial and spiritual arts training. After an unexpected turn of events, the main character begins his adventure to try and save Master Li.

You'll meet various NPCs who can be recruited into your party. They will not only help you save Master Li, but they will also pursue on their own endeavors.

The Special Edition version of the game includes some additional content and should provide players with more than 40 hours of gameplay. The Android game comes with full controller support and … achievements.
