Did you know about the Easter eggs found in some of the more popular Android apps?

If you open one of those heavy, page-rich dictionaries on the "Easter egg" entry (or act appropriately for the current century and ask Google), you'll quickly discover that apart from decoration, Easter eggs are also "unexpected or undocumented features in a piece of computer software or on a DVD, included as a joke or a bonus". Due to their very nature, these might seem quite mundane to the uninitiated, but those who get the joke might snigger quietly for quite some time afterwards.

Each version of Android, in particular, has an Easter egg well hidden into the About section of the device, and the latest one - the Android 5.0 Lollipop, to be exact - is quite funny. Then again, with the amount of Android-powered smartphones that exist out there in the wild, these are relatively well-known. Yet, Google Play houses well over a billion apps now, and a lot of the more popular among these sport a hidden gem or two.
