iPhone 8 to be more expensive than the Galaxy S8+, thinks analyst

Designer Martin Hajek's concept of the iPhone 8
We know the new iPhone is going to be expensive, we just don't know how expensive... yet. UBS analyst Steven Mulinovich chimed in with a bold prediction, stating that a 64GB base model would start at $850 to $900 – possibly more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S8+ and other pricy high-enders set to appear in the coming months.
Milunovich's predictions are based on information from UBS Asia hardware analyst Arthur Hsieh, who estimates the factory cost of the OLED named iPhone 8 will be $70 to $90 higher than the iPhone 7 Plus, which starts at $769. While the estimate appears realistic, it's not grounded in insider information.

According to Mulinovich, Apple will charge up to $1000 for a 256GB model, while the rumored iPhone 7s and 7s Plus devices will start at $650 and $750, respectively. These prices are not much different than what's currently on offer, with the iPhone 7 starting at $650 and the 256GB iPhone 7 Plus being $950.
