iPad Air 2 concept imagines a super slim Apple tablet with a protruding camera

Apple has already unveiled its new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but when it comes to big announcement, there is still one more thing for us to see this year. We’re talking about the upcoming Apple iPad event in just a few days, on Wednesday, October 16th.

We have already seen the leaks, and reports have claimed that Apple has managed to make the new iPads even thinner than before, as much as to claim the world’s slimmest tablet title with the new launches. We’re yet to see if the company lives up to these high expectations, but if you don’t mind looking at concepts, you can get a peek into that possible future right now, via these concept images from designer Martin Hajek.

Hajek depicts the iPad Air 2 and the second-generation iPad mini with Retina display, plotting them alongside the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. We’ve seen the new iPhones adopt iPad mini styled aesthetics with the round-edge accents, and if Apple retains this approach with the new iPads, we’ll have a full lineup of iOS devices, all following the same visual styling.

Interestingly, these concepts also assume that the new iPads will be so thin that they’d come with a protruding camera like on the iPhone 6. Earlier leaks contradict this assumption, but it’s a possibility, if Apple manages to indeed make wonders slimming down the iPad pair.

For all else, these images follow the leaks and rumors closely, resulting in an iPad Air 2 and iPad mini Retina 2 concept that looks photo-realistic.
