ZTE introduces its new logo

ZTE introduces its new logo
Chinese smartphone manufacturer ZTE is changing the look of its corporate logo. The company says that the rounded design, and lighter color of the new logo, has to do with the company's new CGO philosophy (Cool – Green – Open). The manufacturer is also using a new slogan, "Tomorrow never waits." ZTE says that's its focus will be on M-ICT, or Mobile Information and Communication Technologies.

The new logo is also supposed to show consumers a more fun-loving side to ZTE. The company has also been looking to expand its presence in the U.S., and in October ZTE signed deals to become the official smartphone of three NBA teams, the New York Knicks, the Houston Rockets and the Golden State Warriors.

Last month, a dual SIM ZTE tablet visited the FCC. The K70 is expected to feature a 7-inch to 7.5-inch display, support for both WCDMA and GSM connectivity, and Android 4.4.x KitKat pre-installed out of the box. The slate is expected to be priced at under $200 in the U.S.

Check out the new ZTE logo below. Does it make the company seem younger and more fun-loving to you?

I bet the way of China company to go international is to remove the chinese character.

They shouldn't. Its bad recommendation. Just use good logo design instead.

It's better than those cargo letters but it doesn't say much. It definitely needs a sign/emblem beside the three letters, that eventually could even stand alone on a phone

Revolutionary. Exhilarating. Enthralling. Stunning. None of the above.

Well considering the orig one was blander than bland then this is still an improvement I guess. What they do actually need however over a new logo is a "new" way of getting their code s**t together. ZTE already prove that they can get the hardware out but still with that distinctly Chinese "you can haz updates when we feel like it" attitude.

I like the symbolized logo more than the lettered logo. I miss the green little symbol on SonyEricsson phones.

Ties (% owned by state isn't known to the public) with a communist nation that is known for hack attempts to steal tech from the USA... I have a bad feeling about this. Besides, I don't know what to feel about private info being forwarded to the CCP.

They should have just changed it without saying anything. If it was changed without this announcement, I would not even notice it was changed. That is how similar and insignificant the change is.

Yeah, right...they went downstairs and grabbed the most artistic kid that is working the line and told him he has a new job for the day. They gave him an extra bowl of rice and a drink box, locked him in the small, poorly lit room with some colored pencils and greypon paper until he sketched the new logo. Sad part...the old font looks better. Regardless, it's still lipstick on a pig...

It definitely is an improvement from the old 1980s style looking icon. It does feel more inviting. I mean look at LG logo. Not much to say there either

Or instead of wasting money on this; they could of just concentrated on putting out better phones and selling them.
