Will the real Meizu MX5 please stand up?

Will the real Meizu MX5 please stand up?
Yesterday, we showed you a couple of frontal shots of what was alleged to be the Meizu MX5. Today, a whole different phone shows up claiming to be Meizu's next flagship model. The model that appears before you today dovetails perfectly with images of the device that leaked last month, as both feature what appears to be a fingerprint scanner where a home button might normally appear.

The MX5 that leaked today appears to have a screen in the neighborhood of 5.5-inches with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The edge-to-edge screen that was part of yesterday's renders is gone. The back of the phone features a dual LED flash and we can see a 3.5mm earphone jack, speaker grill, microphone and the power button. The back cover appears to be of the removable variety, which means we should expect a removable battery to power the device.

If you have ever watched the old game show "To Tell the Truth," you'll be familiar with this line. Will the real Meizu MX5 please stand up?

It looks as if iPhone 6 Plus and HTC M9 Plus had a baby...

Meizu came up with that round camera placement way earlier than HTC. So, M9 Plus' baby will have a bigger and bolder nipple on the back, this is as thin as the MX4.

Erm, HTC have been using the central round camera placement since at least the original Desire. the first Meizu to use that design seems to be the MX, which came out nearly 2 years after the Desire.

yea the HTC Nexus One announced at the end of 2009 would like a word with you , or maybe the HTC Legend and HTC Desire HD , all phones released before the meizu M9. Or if you are talking about the first meizu which is literally a copy of the iPhone then .. yea Apple >.>

don't think it's the MX4, but M1 Note 2. The MX5 should look way more premium.

If it's display really has 16:9 aspect ratio it could be successor of M1 Note. For making more premium handset they can release MX5 Pro beside MX5.

That home button+fingerprint scanner combination is just ugly. Where's the signature circular glowing button from Meizu?

back and sides reminds me of a Lumia 930 meets iPhone. Front is all Samsung.

The Android arena is getting very crowded now. It's going to be increasingly difficult to stand out in such a market. It won't be long before they'll be no point in producing high end Android devices. The masses will become enthralled by cheap rubbish.
