Watch Xiaomi Mi 5 live stream here (event starts on February 24th)

The Xiaomi Mi 5 - the flagship from rapidly growing Chinese company Xiaomi that is big in Asia - will be officially announced on February 24th, 2016 with a global event held in New York, Barcelona and New Delhi.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 announcement will be streamed live on YouTube and you can join in to see what the company brings to the table.

So far, rumors point out that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be a 5.2" phone running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 system chip, so it holds the promise of being an absolute beast in terms of performance. Unlike the Samsungs and LGs of this world, the Xiaomi Mi 5 is also expected to feature a more affordable price than the mainstream brands.

Unfortunately, it's not yet clear whether the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be available in the United States or Europe. So far, Xiaomi has only officially sold its phones in Asia. The event starts on February 24th, 2016:

3:00 am EST | 9:00 am CET
