Verizon Wireless announced today that the highly anticipated Touch Pro2 will be available starting tomorrow, September 11th. The price will be $199.99 with a 2 year contract and after a $100 mail-in rebate. The price after rebate is $150 lower than the price that T-Mobile and Sprint are charging for their versions of the same handset.
The device is full of features and is equipped with a 3.6 inch touchscreen with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, a landscape sliding QWERTY keyboard, Opera Mobile browser, a 3.2MP camera with AF and video capture, a Qualcomm processor clocked at 528MHz, an extended 1500mAh battery, and most importantly the device sports a 3.5mm audio jack.
With 3 out of the top 4 U.S. carriers having released the Touch Pro2, AT&T is the lone holdout so far, but
leaked pictures have shown a version for the carrier and we can't imagine it would be too long before that model is released.
