Verizon has its share of exciting new smartphones coming with the BlackBerry Storm2 and the Touch Pro2 to name a couple. In order to clear out inventory and make room for the new phones, Verizon has cut the price of almost all smartphones to $99 or less with a two year contract. In fact, the carrier has cut the price of the original Touch Pro from $419 to $99, and the original BlackBerry Storm has already been trimmed to the same price, as we have reported
. The HTC Touch Diamond is now also just $99 with a new two year contract, and if you check our review
on that device, you will see that we feel that it just might be the best smartphone in Verizon's lineup. So if you have been waiting for a price break to upgrade your Verizon phone, or if you are looking to join the nation's larget cellphone carrier, now would appear to be a good time. By the way, not every Verizon smartphone has been cut to $99. The BlackBerry Tour and the Samsung Saga are both $199.99 after a discount and a two year contract.
