Verizon-bound LG Optimus Zone 2 pictured

It seems that Verizon’s LG Optimus Zone (released in the first half of 2013) is about to get a successor called Optimus Zone 2. According to @evleaks, the LG Optimus Zone 2 is the handset that we can see above, and it should be available to Verizon’s prepaid customers.

The Zone 2 certainly looks like a small, low-end smartphone. But this shouldn’t come as a surprise, since the original Optimus Zone was a low-end device itself. The features of the new handset are not known, but we’re expecting it to offer an HVGA display at best, and (hopefully) Android KitKat at launch. A camera without Flash is visible on the back of the handset (we almost didn't notice it, being distracted by all those obtrusive logos).

Another new LG Android smartphone that could be launched by Verizon in the near future is the Lucid 3 VS876. Perhaps this and the Optimus Zone 2 will be introduced at the same time. We will let you know.
