Touch Pro2 to be available from Verizon on September 11th for $199.99?
We have seen pictures of the handset and we knew it was coming. A tipster has told BGR that Verizon will be offering its version of the Touch Pro2 on September 11th for $199.99 with a two-year pact, and a mail-in rebate. If the pricing is correct, Big Red's model of the highly anticipated Windows Mobile handset would be about $150 less than the after rebate pricing for Sprint and T-Mobile. After the 11th, AT&T will be the last of the four major U.S. carriers left to launch a version of the device.

Verizon customers, it will be a long week with each tick of the clock feeling like minutes and the minutes feeling like hours. But next week at this time, you could be playing around with your new Touch Pro2 and still have money left in your wallet unlike your pals on T-Mobile and Sprint.

this price sounds fishy... they're gonna sell this for less than the Snap?

What plan will be required on this phone? Cause im stuck on who would be cheaper with plan SPRINT or VERIZON!! but id rather save money on the phone since VERIZON is cheaper. Plus I been thinking about switching over anyway

Right now VZW has their cheapest data plan for smartphone pegged @ $29.99 a month

so you add the 29.99 to the regular plan with the minutes and stuff? its confusing me b/c when I look at sprint, it gives you full detail of pricing and everything with it. I want a great plan and the phone (cheap) with good customer service and coverage. idk im lost

so the mail in rebate is off of the $199.99, lowering that number? i feel like it may be that the $199.99 is an after rebate price, would make more sense to me. But if that's true, i will be using my new every 2 and almost getting this phone for free, which is why it seems fishy to me, but hey, now i just wait a week!

First off... that price is with a MAIL-IN rebate ... that means that you're probably gonna pay 299.99 in the store. 199.99 is a bullshit price, yeah you'll get a 100.00 verizon card like 6 weeks later, but unless you have 300 bucks on hand, don't expect to walk in there and buy this thing. It's still a good price, but 300.00 is pretty steep for a phone.

You ever heard of and getting the mir up front? Very easy, and much cheaper.

and I got mine in like 2 weeks once. As long as you mail it in right away. But yeah, HTC phones have always been on the more expensive side.

I would be EXTREMELY surprised if this ended up being the price on this phone. Usually with these types of devices you can find them at the same price with every carrier. If it is the right price it makes me really happy cuz then sprint will have to drop the price tag on theirs :) Domino if you think $300 is steep for a phone you are looking in the wrong place. It is around par for a pda of this caliber after rebate

i cant believe how inaccurate the info on here is sometimes. why do they keep publishing on here that t-mobile charges $350.00 for this phone??? t-mobile charges 199.99 for this phone with two year contract and the rebate is instant not mail in. got to will be 199.99 with sprint as well never buy a phone in the carrier it on amazon, newegg, walmart or the carriers 800 number for the best price

If you check out the T-Mobile web site, you will see that they are offering the Touch Pro2 for $549.99 and then after a $200 instant discount, the price is $349.99. I believe you are looking at the myTouch 3G price. Thank you for your comments, Phone Arena Team

this phone is junk. terrible processor, its a brick, and its so BLAH!!! i wouldnt pay 199.99 for this trash. Omnia 2 or Storm 2 or Diamond 2 is 10 times better. even if you like a full keyboard, im sure something else better is out there. I feel sorry for everyone here cause your makin a wrong desicion.

there was word of a new pricing structure for Verizon's data plans. Possibly making it more expensive. It stating on eof the current phones in the lineup already would be part of this plan and most likely this one would be as well. Any additional news on this? Also, there was a rumor that Verizon was to allow/unlock the GPS feature on Windows based phones. What is the latest on this? Anyone knows? I can't stand the fact I would have to pay their $10 monthly rate and use their Verizon Nav software...............or wait for a hack that could mess up the phone.
