The new iPad: which feature do you like the most?
Now that the so-called "new iPad" has been announced, we are curious to check with you what new feature do you like most in Apple's third generation slate.

It sports the long-rumored high-res 2048x1356 pixels Retina Display, a new A5X processor coupled with quad-core GPU, probably of the mighty PowerVR SGX543MP4 variety, which can give the Vita a run for its money, a 5MP BSI camera sensor with 1080p video recording capabilities, and Siri for the iPad.

Not to mention that the new iPad is equipped with 4G LTE connectivity and a combined radio that supports the most bands out of all gadgets currently on the market, mentioned Apple - probably one of Qualcomm's new LTE radio chips that have everything and the kitchen sink inside.

So which one tickles your fancy the most? Check our poll and sound off in the comments below.

Apparently only works for voice dictation. Doesn't do anything else, meaning all those really handy things like setting up an alarm or searching stuff for you. I would have been sold if full Siri was on board cause it's something I could really use in everyday life, but now...not so much.

i think the reason is that most ipads are not always connected to a network… but besides for that i cannot come up with much… guess cydia will have to come to the rescue..(if it doesnt take 9 months to jailbreak again…)

maybe apple thinks people use the diction part more… but personally i use the siri part a lotlotlotlot more than i ever use diction

there wont be siri for Ipad until they figure out how to lower bandwidth that siri uses to find things. 66% of all Ipads sold in 2011 were 3g Ipads meaning they thats about 40-45 million people would be using Siri. When Iphone 4s came out. AT&T reported a 40% bandwidth spike because of Siri alone. So that may be one of the reasons why Siri is not being released to Ipads??

I am surprised that with netflix and skype on phones does not spike the internet usage.. Weird.. Unless I missed an article??

I like the fact that it's iPad 2S. Nothing to get excited about. Honestly almost everything except Siri and LTE was already known.

Oh and please don't start with the whole "The most amazing display ever". It's still 264ppi. That's not bad - but the world has already seen much higher pixel density. Even from them iPhone 4 (2010 lol).

Also pay attention that only the graphics are quad core - while we don't know whether or not the actual CPU is.

lol umad, bro?

I don't care how many features Apple put inside it. It has the same functionality as a digital picture frame with wifi and a browser. It's not really a PC.

the a5x is cortex-A9 dual-core, it only has quad-core graphics.

on the flipside the tegra 3 is cortex A9 quadcore with 8 core graphics.

i dont see how apple is claiming that the a5x is more powerful than the tegra 3.

Aw that's okay. You see, Apple is claiming that they invented the "Slide to unlock" mechanism, the rectangle shape, and the known universe. They also claim that Steve Jobs is the son of Jesus.

It is better in terms of GPU performance.
PowerVR SGX 543MP2 > 2x Tegra 3.
A5X now uses MP4 version since it's A5X so...
PowerVR SGX 543MP4 > 4X Tegra 3.

19.2 > 7.2
So using A5X
38.4 > 7.2
which is 4x faster than Tegra 3.

thanks for that. i had to check it myself but your numbers are good if the mp4 does turn out to be 2x the mp2.

cant wait for tegra 4, which is expected to hit 120+ GFLOPS @300MHz. coming later this year.

PowerVR Graphics are substantially better than Nvidia's GeForce even with it's high numbered core set-up. you're going to be blown away with the benchmarks for this thing. an MP4...that's more than i imagined they'd do. if this thing had ARM Cortex-A15 cores then even the next generation Exynos would have to hang up the towel unless Sammy has gotten smart and went back to using PowerVR for their own SoCs.

The new iPad could make toast and work as a jet pack and you'd still call it a 2S. This is what happens when morons post in tech blogs: trolls are born.

Lol at the retarded logic you use: features are "already known" so they don't matter? Okay... ONLY 264 ppi on a tablet, and how many other tablets match that....hmmm...zero (and none will match it this year either).

Well, 264 ppi is very impressive for a tablet... One thing Apple is known for is the resolution of their displays (even though the screens on the iPhone and iPod 4th gen are only 3.5 in.) Nevertheless, 264 is a great ppi for a 9.7 inch tablet. Outstanding you could say. Now, I'm anything but an Apple fanboy, but the resolution they crammed into the display of the new iPad is something I give them credit for. They did a good job; however, I do wish the CPU was quad-core, then it could have very well stood it's ground in the present/upcoming high end tablets. I wish Apple would give their new products new tech that would equal or even surpass those of the competition and not just get money from the sheep that will buy this thinking its the best tablet ever. But, it seems like that won't happen until everyone in the world wises up to current technology and actually realizes that Apple isn't making the best products ever. And then people would only buy products based on the OS and the technology, and not the brands stamped on the devices themselves.

Phonearena is just collecting people that continue to troll on Apple. I think I will stop reading from here. I am just getting sick of this

It's all right. It'll sell like crazy anyway, so it's nice that Apple actually improved it.

I expect much more ownage from Samsung showing inept "creative" baristas and stupid blondie girls all standing in line questioning how will they recognize the new version from the old.

And then a dude with a T-Mobile G1 (a 2008 phone) comes up - and does many many many things one still can't do with even a 2012 tablet lol.
