Television ad, full specs surface for the Oppo R9 and Oppo R9 Plus
Considering that the Oppo R5 and Oppo R7 were both offered in the U.S., there is a good chance that this will apply to the Oppo R9 as well. The R9 and the Oppo R9 Plus are expected to be unveiled on March 17th, St. Patrick's Day around the world. Today, a couple of interesting leaks have surfaced. Photos of the device have leaked from online retailer JD.com, along with a television commercial for the Oppo R9. No, Lil Wayne is not involved.

Specs for the Oppo R9 and Oppo R9 Plus were tweeted by Steve Hemmerstoffer, together with some additional images of the phones. The Oppo R9 will feature a 5.5-inch screen, carrying a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution. This works out to a 401ppi pixel density. An octa-core CPU is inside. 4GB of RAM is aboard along with 64GB of expandable native storage. The camera combo from back to front weighs in at 16MP/13MP, and a 2850mAh battery keeps the lights on. VOOC rapid charging is a feature that comes with the phone, which is expected to carry a price tag equivalent to $385 USD.

The Oppo R9 Plus will be equipped with a 6-inch display, carrying a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution. The Snapdragon 652 chipset is under the hood with an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 510 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB or 128GB of native storage. The rear and front-facing cameras are both 16MP and a 4120mAh battery not only keeps your handset working for a long time, it also charges fast thanks to VOOC rapid charging. This model should be priced in the neighborhood of $460.
