Telekom subscribers can reserve their Apple iPhone 8 now
by Alan Friedman / Aug 15, 2017, 2:47 PM
The rules are simple. A Telekom subscriber goes to the Reservation Ticket Page on the Telekom website and registers to receive a ticket that is later redeemed by new Telekom customers signing up for one of the carrier's plans. Existing Telekom subscribers will have to renew their contract.
Once a phone manufacturer unveils a new model, those holding a reservation ticket can exchange it for an actual reservation. We wouldn't be surprised to see many Telekom subscribers use this method to secure the Apple iPhone 8 or the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Considering that KGI Securities super Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects only 2 million to 4 million units of the iPhone 8 to be available by launch date, a plan like this could come in handy for those seeking to be among the first to buy the tenth anniversary model of the iPhone.

The Note 8 is gonna outsell the new iPhone 8 (or whatever it will be named) for the first quarter, do to Apple typical lack of product availability. While the Note 8 is gonna be ready available, because Samsung knows their is pent up demand for the device, do to last years model recall. Apple could/should have really took advantage of the Note 7 recall, but didn't. Samsung still got the lions share of that, with replacing the Note 7 with the S7/S7E and the S8 for those to held out like I did. For me I didn't want to buy a phone that was about to be a year old. Glad I waited for the S8. The Note 8 will sell 10M in the first quarter, assuming Samsung can make or makes that many.

Well only time will tell - But I venture to say both will do highly well in their own respect. And for those reserving on this carrier I hope the best for as I rarely see carriers that don't exhibit issues one way or another with highly sought out products- shortages, delays, underestimations or and simple bait and switch.

You are by far the dumbest and your comment is the most idiotic thing anyone has ever written on PA ever!! No Samsung phone will ever sell more than an iPhone, specially not the Note 8 over the iPhone 8. Even if there’s a limited number people will still wait then to buy the Note. I will bet my year salary the new iPhone will more in the first weekend than the Note in the first 6 months.

Lol, iPhonearena trying hard to tempt Note 8 potential buyers into purchasing the iPhone 8. Got a notification for this article categorizing it under Galaxy Note 8. WTF does this have to do with the Note 8?

People who are set on Note 8 or are thinking about the Note 8 probably aren't exactly interested in the iPhone 8 as they will be quite different and serve pretty different purposes in the end result. Have a drink, and just relax
