Teaser from Vivo shows dual charging capabilities for the beastly Vivo X6
The Vivo X6 has been in the news recently, as the highly-spec'd handset has been certified by TENAA. In addition, Vivo has released some teasers for the device, including a new one that reveals a dual charging feature for the phone. The diagram on the teaser is supposed to show consumers that this dual charging capability fills up the battery in the Vivo X6 at a faster speed than other handsets.

Considering that the image came directly from Vivo's own Weibo page, it looks like this is the real McCoy (as opposed to all of those other fake McCoys). Rapid charging has become a feature that smartphone buyers have started to look for, since it allows them to plug their handset into an outlet for just a few minutes, and have enough juce to last for hours of use.

This is just another reason to get excited over the Vivo X6, which will reportedly be powered by the deca-core CPU found in the MediaTek MT6797 Helio X20 chipset. We also expect to see 4GB of RAM,  a 6-inch screen with 1440 x 2560 resolution, and a 4000mAh battery. Just the other day, Vivo posted a teaser showing that the X6 will offer a split screen, multi-tasking feature. With the TENAA certification behind it, we could see the phablet unveiled soon.

Vivo is really up to something here! This will definitely shorten the charging time!

So this one has like 2 batteries inside?

That would be wrong. If you see the image, you can see 2 connectors (don't know what it's called) going to the battery from the charger. I think those two are controllers (again not sure of the term) via one charger to the battery.

Don't hype it up too much, you never want to do a HTC One.

Interesting. Kind of seems like a 'dumbed down' version of fast charging though. So you plug 2 chargers into it? Or do you have one charger with a 'Y' on the end? Or one plug and it's done internally?

One plug and it's done internally, from what the image is suggesting.

Wow. Thought of this stuff like a year ago! But oem's don't employ it so I thought it was impossible, I never knew it was actually no oem has thought of it. Well now vivo has. Assuming I patented the idea now, I would had been receiving some cool cash, I have so many other ideas like that. But to patent an idea is harder than to break a coconut open with your teeth. And I'm not in the US.
