Target will pay you no less than $200 for your old Apple iPad, with certain conditions, of course
Looking to get rid of that first-generation Apple iPad collecting dust in a drawer in your house? Pick it up, blow off the dust, and head over to Target. The discounter is willing to pay you $200 for your original iPad, more than you would get for it from other gadget buyers. And if you have a different iPad model to unload, keep Target in mind for that as well. As long as the tablet turns on and the screen is not scratched, Target will give you no less than $200 for it. Keep in mind that the money you receive must be used toward the purchase of a new Apple iPad from the retailer. If you're interested in buying the new Apple iPad Air, this credit is going to come in handy.

There isn't too much time left to decide whether or not to take that $200. Once Saturday ends, so does the offer. Honestly, you're going to be hard pressed to find another store willing to turn over two C notes in return for an aging device. Consider that selling your old iPad to Target could give you as much as 40% of the cash needed to buy your next iPad.

They do because I think these deals are subsidized by Apple. All of this has to happen with Apple's blessing and they have been fine with trade ins for iPhones and said they wanted to expand. Issue is, this will likely hit Apple's bottom line again but increase their market share. Kind of scares me for the next generation of Apple gear because I am afraid they are now going the Android route but with the added pressure of pleasing stock holders (too much focus on that really). Hopefully it doesn't deter them from their core disciplines. They shouldn't compete directly for market share and profits, they should do what they think is amazing and have those as an added bonus like they did under Jobs.

It sounds like you had a more expensive iPad 4 because target has it for $449 plus $40 giftcard. And they have the iPad air for $479.

That deal is good if it was the 16gb model you traded in. That means you got a 16 for a 16 for only an extra $49 +tax. But if your iPad 4 was 32, you lost out.

Today is the last day. I had no issues jumping on this deal. I paid $250 used 2 years ago ago so I definitely came out good.

I just sold my 32 gb iPad 3 for $400. I don't think they would match that. Air coming this Friday :D

It only makes since for crappy first gen iPads. No one in their right mind would have given me $200 on Craigslist or eBay.

THE MONEY YOU RECEIVE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE USED TO THE NEW IPAD AIR. IT CAN BE USED TO PURCHASE WHATEVER YOU WANT. How do i know? because ive had about 200 guest trade theres in this week. You can purchase whatever you want from target stores.

Right...I did this and the $200 was, at least to my understanding, put on a Target gift card without any restrictions...

that is actually not true.i AM A MANGER for target mobile and you CAN NOT BUY ANYTHING ELES OTHER THAN I ANOTHER IPAD. ALL TARGET EMPLOEEYS KNOW THAT IF THE CUSTOMER HAS A TARGET MOBILE TRADE IN CARD THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BUY ANYTHING ELSE WITH THAT CARD. THAT WAS SENT OUT BY THE HEADS OF TARGET AND TARGET MOBILE. thank god that this is a promo that is no longer going on. it was the biggest paid in the butt for mobile

Funny, because I am also a target mobile manager. And we where never told to tell people that they could only spend there gift card on an ipad. It's there money they can buy what they want.

So what's the most I would have gotten for my ipad 4? The same $200 as someone with a first gen ipad?
