Surface Pro 3 to sell in 25 new countries, including China and the UK
It looks like summer breaks don't mean much to Microsoft. It's August, and Redmond is mostly busy delivering Windows Phone 8.1 updates, courting developers, coming up with smart-watches, and oh, there's the Surface Pro 3 tablet which is about to reach 25 new countries from August 28th onwards. Jeez, go visit some beaches, MS!

Anyway, from the designated date onwards, the Surface Pro 3 with fourth-generation Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processors will be available from the Microsoft store, Surface retail partners, and authorized resellers in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.

If you are an eager customer, you can pre-order the tablet in these countries starting today. The Surface Pro 3's docking station will also be available for you, shipping from August 15th.

This could sell well worldwide if MS knew how to market it properly.

Eventually they will have to at least break even on Surface, instead of losing money quarter after quarter.

I picked one up last week and love it. Its so versatile . I'm on the go signing contracts, browsing the web, social media, some work emails, and some other exploring with the pen. I have had so many curious looks and one lovely lady stopping me to say how nice it looks ;)

Microsoft loves the smell of burning money. Surface is a dog, a really dumb idea for a narrow, miniscule market. It's getting closer to a $2 billion dollar loss, but Microsoft just throws more gasoline on the platform. Satya is the new Dubya. "Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 tablet might finally be gaining some traction for Microsoft in the tablet market, but the whole Surface venture has come at an enormous cost. Computerworld notices that Microsoft revealed in an 8-K statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission this week that it has lost $1.7 billion on its Surface line of tablets so far, which is nearly double the $900 million write down that Microsoft took last year on unsold Surface inventory." http://bgr.com/2014/08/06/microsoft-surface-sales-1-7-billion-loss/
