Sprint's Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge start shipping on April 6
Just like all other major US carriers, Sprint is already taking pre-orders for Samsung's Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge smartphones. Thankfully (for customers who just can't wait until April 10, the handsets' official release date), Sprint will start shipping the new Galaxies this Monday, on April 6.

Right now, Sprint allows customers to pre-order only the Black Sapphire and White Pearl versions of the Galaxy S6, while the S6 edge is available in Black Sapphire, White Pearl, and Gold Platinum. There's no word on when, or if the carrier will also sell the Green Emerald and Blue Topaz variants.

What about pricing? Well, Sprint is offering the Galaxy S6 32 GB for $199.99 on contract and $648 off contract, the 64 GB model for $299.99 on contract and $768 off contract, and the 128 GB model for $399.99 on contract and $864 off contract. The Galaxy S6 edge costs $100 more, and it looks like Sprint isn't offering the 128 GB model. Both the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge are also available for $0 down with Sprint's monthly leasing plans, as well as with the carrier's 24-month Easy Pay program.

I'd be so tempted to get the S6 Edge, but unfortunately we won't be getting new phones until next year when we're out of contract and switch carriers. Stuck with my Note II until then, so I hope Samsung brings lollipop to it! I did notice the brightness difference between my Note II and my family's S5 though, and now the highest brightness setting on my Note II looks dim lol. )-:

Haha true, I can't wait to see what the S7 will have to bring. By then, I'm guessing that my hands will already be itching for a Note 5!

By this summer, we will be reading reports that the brand new GS6 sold much less than the 8 months old iPhone6 back in May. History repeats itself.

Verizon would never do this because they hate their customers.

Sprint Galaxy S 6 is synonymous with Wi-Fi Only Galaxy S 6. Sprint service is effing horrible.

Don't worry, this dbag Doakie is always saying the same thing about Sprint. Meanwhile Sprint has completely overhauled their network and is performing better than T-Mobile and close to AT&T based on the last Root Metrics report.

My email stated 2 - 3 weeks. April 10th is 2 weeks, so we'll see. Kinda defeats the purpose of pre-ordering if it comes after its released in retail stores. Yours was the edge as well? Also I'm with you Technobri, my Sprint service and data is terrific here in Atlanta.

They start shipping on the 6th. Doesn't mean you'll get it next day.....just a way to get you to buy it now. Just wait till next month people when the craze dies down.

Who was able to pre order a gold one? Sprint only has white & black available (looking at the site now). I really wanted a gold or green one but I was too impatient to wait until later this month to order when the gold becomes available, ready to move on from the gs4!

I pre-ordered the Gold 64Gb Edge model March 31st. Status: Your order for the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge 64GB Gold has been received. We will do our best to deliver in 2 to 3 weeks from the date of the order. Keep an eye out for a shipping email with your tracking information. Thank you for your patience.

I ordered a gold Edge 64bg on the first day of the pre order and the only info I've got thus far is that I Sprint would do their best to get it to me in 2 - 3 weeks from the order date. Which 2 weeks is the 10th and 3 weeks is the 17th. They announced on their social media accounts that they'd start shipping today, but I don't think that will apply to the gold versions. But I've got my fingers crossed... I'll update once it arrives. Lastly, amazon.com is stating that their Sprint gold Edge 64gb isn't available until April 27th. (For whatever that's worth...) Anybody else that can provide any additional insight or info on this matter would be helpful. Thanks
