Specs leak again for Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with phablet's release rumored for mid-August
The next big smartphone that everyone is waiting for happens to be Samsung's Next Big Thing. We're talking, of course, about the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The freshest rumors hot off the grill are here, and while they might not have changed from previous rumors, the more you hear it the more you will believe it. Today's gossip comes from the Netherlands where the info was told to GSM HelpDesk from what it calls "reliable sources."

First, the name. Skipping the Note 6 name and going straight to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 makes too much sense not to do. First, Sammy is instantly syncing the Note series with the Galaxy S line, and is telling many confused consumers that the Note 7 is not an older generation model. While we can't think of anyone we know that wouldn't buy a Galaxy Note 6 because the name carries a lower number than the Galaxy S7, such people do exist.

The latest specs for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 include a 5.8-inch dual curved edge Super AMOLED display, with a 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution. The Snapdragon 823 SoC will be driving the device in the states, which will contain 6GB of RAM. The same 12MP rear camera found on the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be used on the Galaxy Note 7, which means that it will carry an f/1.7 aperture and OIS. And the Galaxy Note 7 will also borrow the front-facing 5MP shooter from the Galaxy S7. The S Pen will come with the device out of the box, and a 4000mAh battery will keep the hamster wheel spinning.

The unlocked version of the handset is rumored to be priced at €799 EUR, which converts into $903 USD at the current conversion rate. The Galaxy Note 7 is now expected to be unveiled on August 2nd with a launch coming in the middle of the month.

If it will have IP68, better battery life than the S7edge and FM radio, they can take my money.

Along with a locked up tight bootloader. Still no root for the S7 or S7 edge.

I hope it isn't. I expect at least 4200 given the size of the handset.

It's time they bump up the front shooter's sensor, they have mid rangers that are packed with 8mp selfie cam, but not their flagships?

PA can't even read the source article properly. These so-called editors. It has upgraded Exynos, not Snapdragon. Also says new camera software.

The source is out of the Netherlands, so that's most likely the reason for the omission of the Snapdragon processor. They're most likely not referring to NA version of the Note.

I think the real leak in this news was that Samsung will release the curved screen Note 7 only and that I think is exclusive to Netherland or Europe. In other countries, Samsung may release both the versions. The specs listed here does not seem to be a leak but mentioned just to make the article longer, just as these tech sites do when the news is not long enough for Google to catch. All the specs listed there (GSM Helpdesk) have already been leaked before.

Anyway I'm on this the day it's sells!!! 6 maybe 8 gb ram speed and a 6.1 screen heck yes!!! I'll ditch my iPhone 6s Plus and my LG V 10 and pay cash if I have to get it!! Ebay can sell them both for me fast lol I'll use my Sony Xperia Z5 premium till than lol but I believe the note 7 has 4K like my Z5 but the note 7 will kill all my other devices for sure!!! Come and bring it on Sammy let's end 2016 with a # 1 device

Got my money ready... Sold my note 5 months ago and I'll probably sell my s7 edge too!! Hopefully the edges are like the one on the first note. I hope everyone says they aren't going to buy because of the edges....That will make my day one purchase that much easier...

6GB RAM...... I mean really... Do people really run some virtualboxes on their phones now or it's just another RRP jackup tactic (the latter seems likely).

Well obviously ... and yet I got this tin foil hat guy in me suspecting that it's gonna be more of an ample excuse to kick back on RAM management chops just because... We got enough problems dealing with shoddy codes for 3GB RAM let alone 6, which points to plain laziness because some devs out there would just shrug that off to "meh... we'll plug the memory leak when it happens. Most of 'em won't even notice it and brag about the capacity anyways" kind of attitude. Exhibit A:- 1+3. Took xda devs' good people yet again to douse the fire. Well to be fair, Samsung does have a more capable enough in-house code monkeys on standby as of yet so hopefully they're more than aware now to not screw that up.
