Sony Xperia Z1 mini was officially announced as the 4.3" version of the venerable waterproof cameraphone, but so far it's been shown only for Japan's largest carrier, under the moniker Xperia Z1 f.
It is every bit as powerful as the larger brother, with Snapdragon 800 processor and the same 20 MP camera with Sony G Lens that gives other cameraphones a run for their money. The only thing that was scaled down was the screen resolution from Full HD to HD, but given the much smaller screen diagonal, you still have plenty of pixel density to work with.
Now a photo has appeared on the renowned tipster @evleaks, which depicts something called Sony Xperia Z1S, and claims this is the international version of the snap-happy munchkin.
One can only hope this scenario will materialize sooner rather than later, as we can think of more than a few people that would love a powerful mini version of a flagship Android for a change. Of course, the exact specs of the Z1 mini version are still up in the air, and an announcement might not be imminent, if we judge by the January 14 date on the render's homescreen.
