Sony Xperia XZs Dual up for pre-order in the US for $699, ships on April 5

It's true that Sony's latest high-end smartphone, the Xperia XZs comes with an older Snapdragon 820 chipset inside, but that doesn't make the handset less appealing considering the rest of the specs.

Unveiled back in February at Mobile World Congress, the Xperia XZs is now up for pre-order in the United States. The smartphone is now available at Amazon for $699 and ships on April 5.

However, unlike Europeans who are getting a free Sony SRS-XB30 speaker when they pre-order the Xperia XZs, Americans won't receive any bonuses. One other difference is the fact that Amazon is now selling the dual-SIM version of the Xperia XZs.

Although the phone does come with two SIM slots, one of them can be used to add either a microSD or a SIM card. Basically, you can't put two SIMs and one microSD card since there are only two open slots inside. It's also worth noting the Xperia XZs Dual packs 64GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD.

If you plan on getting the smartphone, keep in mind that Sony Xperia XZs Dual will only work on GSM carrier like AT&T and T-Mobile. On the bright side, you'll be getting US warranty when you buy the phone.
