The Sony Xperia 10 Ultra could soon launch with a humongous display
Sony Xperia 10 & 10 Plus
The Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus have only just launched globally but it seems as though Sony might already be preparing a new addition to its mid-range lineup.
According to an unverified source, later this year the company will release a new model dubbed the ‘Xperia 10 Ultra.’ As its name indicates, the smartphone will be much larger than its siblings and should also be quite a bit more powerful.
The Xperia 10 Plus, as some of you probably know, already sports a large 6.5-inch display. But with the Xperia 10 Ultra, Sony could stretch this to a humongous 7-inches. Naturally, this will result in a fairly noticeable size increase, but it doesn’t mean the smartphone will be uncomfortable in the hand.
Like Sony’s recent Xperia smartphones, the Xperia 10 Ultra will probably maintain the extra tall 21:9 aspect ratio. Subsequently, an increase of 0.5-inches should result in a much taller smartphone, but not necessarily one that’s much wider.
Moving away from the external side of things, the source in question pointed towards Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 on the inside. This could then be paired with 6GB of RAM and as much as 128GB of storage. Two rear cameras are extremely likely too.
Unfortunately, no pricing information was provided. However, Sony typically favors larger profit margins. As a result, this device could easily retail for around $700 to $750.
