Some T-Mobile subscribers find out that their Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has been shipped
Some T-Mobile subscribers who pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 might have checked their order status online on Friday, noting (no pun intended) that their new phablet has been shipped. One of our loyal readers has sent us a screenshot, showing that his brand new phablet is now in transit.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is equipped with a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED screen, with a resolution of 1440 x 2560. That combines to produce a spectacular pixel density of 515ppi. Under the hood is a quad-core 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 CPU with 3GB of RAM on board. The device comes with 32GB of native storage and a 128GB capacity microSD slot for those seeking more memory. Back and front facing cameras weigh in at 16MP and 3.7MP, respectively. The rear shooter features OIS. A 3220mAh battery keeps the lights on all day, and Android 4.4.4 is pre-installed.

This is one thing I liked about T-Mobile. They had their s--t together when it came to handsets.

Note 4 looks really good IMO :) After having read most of the full reviews for this beast, only Phonearena had held themselves back not to praise it as one of the most handsome phones ever made. And to people who find themselves hating touchwiz and looking for stock android UI, may I ask what makes you so obsessed with stock experience? I find it too boring..

Handsome? The Note 4 is a lot of things, some good and some bad, but only a diehard fanboy would call it "handsome." Any reviewer who wanted to be taken seriously wouldn't call it that.

not that i am a diehard fanboy.. we all have different perceptions or criteria to fathom a phone's appearance.. albeit galaxy s5 is not a looker, you don't have to change the entire elements of a phone to make it handsome than ever. note3 actually looks good, but because samsung added that classy metal frame (esp in white model), the successor now exudes sophistication.

I agree that the N4 looks better than the N3, but that fake leather has to go.

Does it really matter whether its real or fake leather? IMO it still feels/looks good And it might be more durable, e.g. many rugby/football/soccer players prefer fake leather over real leather as its more durable and lighter My only design complaint would be the camera bump And maybe be the slightly big bezels if I was really nitpicking

I have figured out after my Moto X 2014 that I don't want leather at all, fake or real. However, if forced to choose, I'm choosing the real thing over fake on a $700+ device.

So let me get this straight, inspite of having a bad experience with leather you choose to the same material which detiorates much faster then plastic when can stay intact til centuries ?! Doesn't it make you wonder why Samsung didn't add an actual leather ?! Do you know the properties of leather ?! Leather can dry-off, can be torn, it can even contract and expand depending on the weather. Go read the properties of leather. So what Samsung has done is taken the best part of the leather i.e. 'the feel' and implemented in Note 4 without getting affected by the disadvantages of the leather. The result is a much more smoother and gripier back. Its a design which feels good in hand. So do you actually have a criticism of Note4's back or you are just trolling because you don't like the word 'fake leather' ?

I had the same criticism of the Note 3 back when I had it. It wasn't as slippery as the GS3/GS4 back, but it was slippery.

LOL....now you are just digging your own grave. Are you saying: HTC One M8's smooth metallic finish Z3's Glass finish LG G3's smooth plastic finish iPhone6's smooth aluminium finish are better at gripping then a mat leather like finish of Note 4 ?!?! Find me one review from a reliable source that says Note 4 is slippery and I'll happily run naked down my street screaming your name for forgiveness !!!

I don't know how it feels because I haven't handled it yet. All I know is what it looks like, the specs, and that it bends.

Really? So you'd chose real over quality? Also there nothing wrong with these "fake" materials E.g. many expensive racing/sport cars, planes, space ships, sport equipment dont use metal They use "fake" composites, such as fiber reinforced plastic, usually with carbon fiber or kevlar

In an expensive car or maybe clothing or furniture, sure, you have a point. But this is a phone. It gets put on tables, in pockets, taken with you to all differents types of climates and environments. You want something that's durable that will withstand what you put it through. You have to think about the cost to replace it as well if something happens to it. I see your point but even though it's an expensive phone, I'd take the faux leather over real leather from a cost and durability standpoint.

For $6.99 on ebay, the fake leather can go in exchange for aluminum. The many benefits of a removable back.

It's a good looking phone, much more attractive than the iPhone 6.

GSMARENA picked it as the better looking phablet on top of the iPhone 6+. But yeah, I guess Gsmarena are a bunch of Samsung fanboys right?

They did, but nobody else did. They are all wrong?

Totally disagree with you on this..!! I've had the opportunity to handle the Note 4 for a good hour or so. I think that the Note 4 is a very handsome device, a lot better then Samsungs previous phones. My current phone is a G3, so I'm not a Samsung fanboy by any means.

I'm planning on getting a Nexus 6 because it has the best UI. All other OEM skins look outdated now (HTC is somewhat ok). Also when I do get tired of the same-ole stuff, I just unlock that bootloader and load up a ROM with everything you could wish for (yes, everything TouchWiz has and more). I got lucky with my S4. On AT&T the Note 4 doesn't have a chance of even rooting it.

T-Mobile and Sprint are the only carriers that don't have a locked bootloader. Can't wait to receive my Note 4 from Sprint soon!

I wonder what was traded in for $550.00 and where is the shipping fee? Maybe Tmo uses a different order status sheet for other phones, but mine does not look like this. Quite a bit of info is missing from this page. If you are getting your Note 4 early, congrats. I know the feeling of finally getting the phone that you've been waiting for.

It shows a S5 right there as a trade-in.

yeah but the 550.00, is most likely the jump value of the phone, meaning he owed 550, but since he has jump 1 (which it means he can upgrade twice a year) he didnt have to pay the full value of it and just upgrade and t-mobile takes care of the rest that he owes.

Overall the baddest device on the market. S-Pen, multi window, popup video, gives it the nod. If only it auto edited/auto compressed vid files, and played certain files like QuickTime.
