The EISA (the European Imaging and Sound Association) has announced the winners of its awards for 2013-2014, and many of the winners were popular Android models. Considering its global market share in the smartphone industry, perhaps it is no surprise that Korean OEM Samsung was the big winner of the night. Sammy took home three trophys (do we call them EISAS?). The Samsung Galaxy S4 mini won the 2013-2014 European Socia Media award while big brother (Samsung Galaxy S4) was presented with the European Green Phone award. The European Photo Innovation trophy for 2013-2014 went to the Samsung Galaxy NX.
Other winners included the HTC One as EISA's European Advanced Smartphone. The European Consumer Smartphone 2013 – 2014 title was given to the Twiggy-ish Huawei Ascend P6 and the European Tablet award was presented to the Sony Xperia Tablet Z. And no, Neil Patrick Harris did not host a televised show. And as far as we can tell, none of the winners thanked their agent, co-workers and parents for winning the award.
Samsung won three EISA awards for 2013-2014, the most of any handset manufacturer
